BYU bikers beware

Geez, it has been awhile, but check this out. I was riding my bike home from my 5pm class tonight (it is snowing here as well, nuts huh) and I got hit by a car. Ya, if you are coming to BYU and you like to ride your bike watch out! I was ok, and my $50 Dodge Viper bike from Toys R Us is ok as well, so I am good. At least I think, I hope I don't wake up tomorrow all messed up.
The cars are crazy here. I am always reading in the paper about pedestrians getting hit and what not. First off the drivers here are insane. They will roll through crosswalks and challenge pedestrians. No wonder people get hit. Also, the pedestrians are fearless and with the lighting being so bad around campus it is half their fault as well. Pretty much if you are walking or biking around BYU make sure to take extra care.
The end of the semester is coming up, which always stinks because it means it is now time to work on all those group projects that are due at the end of the semester that you should have been working on all this time. My groups are starting to get things geared up, but still, it is always a crazy time trying to get all these projects together before they are due.
It is a good time around BYU, it is nice to hear about everyone getting offers and fly-backs to companies. It seems everyone has opportunities and that everyone is doing well. I think everyone I have spoken too is finding success, so it is good to hear. Even the people who are not finding too much success aren't freaking out too much because a lot of companies will do a lot of recruiting next semester when they finally learn which interns are going to come back and which are not, so they have a better idea of what spots they need to fill. Also because school does not end till around May a lot of companies are waiting to be sure what spots they want to fill, so there will be plenty of opportunity next semester as well.
I am sitting good with an offer from Northwest Airlines, and I am flying out to US Airways this weekend. The Airline industry sounds pretty cool and you get all those flight benefits like flying for free so that will be some good times. Northwest is in Minneapolis though, but I heard that it is a nice place. I had better learn to play hockey then.
My wife is due with our first child any day now so I am waiting for that phone call to go and jump on a plane to Reno. Next semester she will be moving down here to Provo with me, so I guess I will have to change the name of this blog huh. It will be nice, though kind of weird actually living with my wife again. It has been a year and a half, hopefully we can still get along fine.
School is good. BYU is doing well, both our football and basketball teams are ranked and we beat Utah last weekend. I had to watch the game in a sports bar in Reno surrounded by Utah fans, but we won, so it was pretty RAD. I had tickets too, 20 yard line, 3 rows back. Oh well.
Finally check this out. We are starting to print our BYU MBA newsletters online. We only have two up, but we should get more in the future. If you are looking at the program or would like to know what is going on here is a good look:

You might see some of my articles on there. I am on the staff, and I do all the polls as well. The program is good. If you are looking at coming here do it, you will not regret it believe me.
